This summer we participated in the internship program with Grand Valley State University and welcomed Stephanie Kaszewski as our intern. We began the summer by focusing on the fundamentals of shooting (the exposure triangle, composition, frame rates, white balance, etc) and spent a good amount of time on both photo and video work. For her final project, we tasked her with telling the story of a local business. We are happy to premiere the result of that effort here. 

What could be more exciting than hearing you are being considered to create content for one of your favorite publications. You quickly respond with some examples of your work and guess what - they love your work! You got the job! Your hard work is paying off and the world will finally see your amazing work as it was meant to be! Time to celebrate and begin planning your breakout shoot. Is there a worse feeling than walking out to your car and realizing you've just had your equipment stolen? One of the unfortunate realities of working on location is the potential for theft. While we've created gear management processes that serve to prevent opportunities for gear loss,  we recently experienced a loss of gear due to theft. As we were covered by insurance, we have been able to replace the equipment; but having gone through the experience has provided some lessons and action items for us, and we thought we'd share a few tips if you ever need to make a claim. 

In celebration of a new city ordinance allowing greater food truck access to downtown, Grand Rapids welcomed a food truck festival for a great day of community and culinary creativity. We thought it would be a great opportunity to get some test footage and provide you with a review of how the Zhiyun Crane Plus worked with our mirrorless setup (Panasonic GH5S w/Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm f/2.8 II).
